Idaho Jobs Forecast

Jobs in Idaho are expected to increase in April by 6,600 from March, a 1.1 percent increase. This increase brings total nonfarm jobs 2.5 percent above April 2012. This month’s job gains were primarily in the Private Service Providing sectors.

Methodology
The Idaho Jobs Forecast reports industry analysis and research conducted by the Idaho Department of Labor, which tracks the month-to-month rate of change in jobs to capture the most accurate jobs total possible for Idaho’s economy. The forecast is revised quarterly with data from the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW), and uses a mix of historical data, regional labor market knowledge and other economic variables contained within and outside the state of Idaho.
