Regional labor market information

• In September 2025, 52% of total job postings are for a single position, having a 10% increase year over year. Companies creating a job opening for multiple of the same positions have declined in the region.

• Job postings for registered nurses and customer service representatives in south central Idaho have grown 178% and 200% respectively year over year. This is due to the job posting doubling year after year.

• Health care and manufacturing job postings increased 90% year over year, while retail trade saw modest growth at 13% year over year. Health care and manufacturing are continuing to rapidly grow while retail is continuing to slow.

• Hardest to fill occupations in south central Idaho this month are a mix of legal and financial occupations.

• A new Shoshone Falls overlook is planned in Jerome County. The project has not been fully funded yet but is planned to begin breaking ground this fall. Source: Magic Valley Times-News

• Cassia County’s new office building has broken ground on the new 30,000 square foot facility, which will bring all of the county’s services under one roof. The project is expected to be completed in 18 months. Source: KMVT
